About Online Checkout
Online Payments
We use a platform called Zeffy to process online College, Car, or Cash raffle ticket payments. Zeffy is a nonprofit that helps nonprofits, like us, by covering 100% of credit card processing fees themselves — which means 100% of your ticket purchase goes directly toward Hubbard Youth Coalition Inc.’s mission.
During checkout, you’ll see an optional contribution added to your total. This is how Zeffy keeps their platform free for nonprofits like ours — it does not come to us, and it’s entirely up to you whether to include it. We will not be charged credit card processing fees regardless of what you decide to do here.
If you’d rather not contribute to Zeffy, just click the dropdown field above your total and select “Other.” If you DO NOT want to contribute to Zeffy, leave this field blank or enter 0. Your total should then simply reflect your ticket count X $100 each. If you do want to contribute to Zeffy, after you’ve chosen “Other” from the dropdown field, simply input whatever amount you’d like to contribute to their cause.
Ticket Processing and Distribution
Online raffle ticket purchases will be processed manually, meaning we will fill out a physical, two-stub ticket with a unique number for each of your ticket purchases. One stub goes directly into the physical raffle hopper containing all eligible entries. The other stub will be mailed via USPS to the designated participant’s address, or can be picked up in person by prior arrangement.
An online purchase will be considered complete only after payment has been successfully processed and HYC has issued or assigned the corresponding raffle ticket number.
Please note that HYC is not responsible for lost, delayed, or undelivered mail.
You can also check out our Raffle Log for all assigned ticket numbers.
