8. Specific Grand Prize Rules – THREE CHOICES, PICK ONE

 

GRAND PRIZE OPTION #1: $25,000 COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP PRIZE

 

Official Redemption Terms & Conditions: College Scholarship Prize

 

These terms and conditions apply if the verified Grand Prize Winner of the Hubbard Youth Coalition (HYC) College , Car or Cash Raffle elects the $25,000 College Scholarship Prize instead of the Cash Prize or Vehicle Voucher.

 

A. Scholarship Value

 

The College Scholarship Prize has a maximum value of $25,000.

​

The Scholarship Prize will not be paid directly to the winner in cash and may not be converted to the Cash Prize after the winner’s prize selection becomes final.

​

The winner must elect one of the eligible scholarship redemption methods described below.

 

B. Scholarship Option 1 – Winner Currently Attending an Eligible Educational Institution

 

If the winner is currently enrolled at an eligible college, university, community college, trade school, technical school, or other eligible postsecondary educational institution approved under the Official Raffle Rules, HYC will make payment directly to the educational institution on behalf of the winner.

 

No scholarship check will be made payable directly to the winner.

​

Before payment, the winner must provide HYC with documentation reasonably requested to verify:

• The winner’s identity;

• Current enrollment;

• The name and address of the educational institution;

• Student identification or account information necessary for the institution to properly credit the payment; and

• Any additional information reasonably required by HYC for tax reporting or prize administration.

 

HYC may communicate directly with the educational institution to verify enrollment and determine the appropriate method for transmitting the scholarship payment.

 

C. Payment to Educational Institution

 

Scholarship funds paid directly to an educational institution will be applied to the winner’s student account in accordance with the institution’s policies.

 

The winner acknowledges that payment of the Scholarship Prize may affect financial aid, scholarships, grants, tuition assistance, or other educational benefits. HYC makes no representation regarding the effect of the prize on the winner’s financial-aid eligibility.

 

The winner is responsible for discussing those consequences with the educational institution and his or her financial or tax advisors.

 

D. Scholarship Option 2 – Gift to an Immediate Family Member Through an Ohio 529 Plan

 

Instead of using the Scholarship Prize for his or her own education, the winner may elect to gift the $25,000 educational benefit to an eligible immediate family member.

 

For purposes of this raffle, an “Immediate Family Member” means:

• Child;

• Stepchild;

• Grandchild;

• Sibling;

• Stepsibling;

• Parent;

• Stepparent;

• Grandparent;

• Spouse;

• Niece or nephew; or

• Another family relationship specifically approved by HYC and permitted under applicable 529 plan and tax rules.

 

The winner will not receive the $25,000 personally for purposes of making the gift.

 

The entire scholarship contribution will instead be made by HYC directly to an eligible Ohio CollegeAdvantage 529 Plan account established for the designated family member, subject to the rules and requirements of the Ohio Tuition Trust Authority and applicable law.

 

E. Ohio 529 Account Requirements

 

The winner will be responsible for identifying or establishing an eligible Ohio CollegeAdvantage 529 Plan account for the designated beneficiary.

 

The winner must provide HYC with all information reasonably necessary to complete the contribution, including the beneficiary’s name and applicable account information.

 

HYC will make the contribution directly to the Ohio 529 Plan or its designated administrator and will not issue the check to the winner or beneficiary.

 

The contribution is subject to all applicable Ohio CollegeAdvantage rules, contribution limits, account requirements, investment provisions, and federal and state tax laws.

 

F. Ownership and Control of 529 Account

 

Selection of the 529 option does not make HYC the owner or manager of the 529 account.

 

Account ownership, beneficiary designation, investment selection, future withdrawals, beneficiary changes, and other account administration will be governed exclusively by the applicable Ohio CollegeAdvantage 529 Plan documents and applicable law.

 

Once HYC has properly contributed the Scholarship Prize to the designated account, HYC will have no responsibility for the subsequent investment performance, management, withdrawal, use, tax treatment, or disposition of those funds.

 

G. Educational Use

 

Funds deposited into an Ohio 529 Plan are intended to support the beneficiary’s future education and should be used for qualified educational expenses in accordance with applicable federal law and Ohio CollegeAdvantage requirements.

 

HYC does not guarantee that every future use or withdrawal will qualify for favorable tax treatment.

​

The account owner and beneficiary are responsible for complying with applicable 529 Plan requirements.

 

H. No Cash Redemption

 

The Scholarship Prize:

• Cannot be redeemed directly for cash;

• Cannot be paid directly to the winner;

• Cannot be sold or assigned;

• Cannot be used to purchase goods or services unrelated to education; and

• Cannot be divided between the Scholarship, Vehicle Voucher, and Cash Prize options.

 

Once the Grand Prize Winner formally elects the Scholarship Prize and that election is accepted by HYC, the selection will be final.

 

I. Prize Redemption Deadline

 

The winner must select the Scholarship Prize and provide all required documentation within 30 days after official notification and verification as the Grand Prize Winner.

 

If the winner elects direct payment to an educational institution, payment will be processed after HYC verifies the required information.

 

If the winner elects the Ohio 529 option, the winner must establish or identify the eligible account and provide all required contribution information within 30 days after making the prize election.

 

Failure to timely complete the required documentation may result in forfeiture of the Scholarship Prize, subject to the Official Raffle Rules and applicable law.

 

J. Taxes and Reporting

 

The winner acknowledges that the Scholarship Prize was won through a raffle and may constitute taxable raffle or gambling income to the winner regardless of whether the funds are paid directly to an educational institution or contributed to a 529 Plan for another beneficiary.

 

HYC will comply with applicable federal, state, and local tax reporting and withholding requirements. 

​

Before HYC makes the scholarship payment or 529 contribution, the winner may be required to provide:

• Social Security number or taxpayer identification number;

• Government-issued identification;

• IRS or other tax forms;

• Acknowledgment of prize value; and

• Any required tax withholding payment.

 

HYC may delay payment of the Scholarship Prize until all legally required tax documentation and withholding requirements have been satisfied.

 

The winner is strongly encouraged to consult an independent tax professional regarding the tax consequences of selecting the Scholarship Prize and, particularly, gifting the educational benefit to another person through a 529 Plan.

 

K. Gift and 529 Tax Consequences

 

If the winner directs the Scholarship Prize into a 529 Plan for an Immediate Family Member, the transaction may have federal or state income, gift, estate, financial-aid, or other tax consequences.

 

HYC does not provide tax, investment, legal, or financial advice and makes no representation regarding the tax consequences of the winner’s selection.

 

Any Ohio or federal tax deductions, exclusions, credits, or other tax benefits associated with a 529 contribution will be determined under applicable law and are not guaranteed to the winner by HYC.

 

L. Verification and Documentation

 

HYC reserves the right to require reasonable documentation before releasing the Scholarship Prize, including verification of:

• Winner identity;

• Educational institution eligibility;

• Enrollment status;

• 529 Plan account information;

• Identity of the proposed 529 beneficiary;

• Relationship between the winner and beneficiary; and

• Compliance with the Official Raffle Rules.

 

M. Relationship to Official Raffle Rules

 

These Scholarship Prize Terms & Conditions supplement the Official Rules of the Hubbard Youth Coalition College, Car or Cash Raffle.

If these Scholarship Prize Terms conflict with the Official Raffle Rules, the Official Raffle Rules will control unless otherwise required by applicable law.

 

N. Acceptance

 

By selecting the $25,000 College Scholarship Prize, the winner acknowledges that he or she has reviewed, understands, and agrees to these terms and conditions.

Redemption Options: Direct payment to an eligible educational institution OR direct contribution to an eligible Ohio CollegeAdvantage 529 Plan for an approved Immediate Family Member.

 

 

GRAND PRIZE OPTION #2: $25,000 VEHICLE VOUCHER

 

Official Redemption Terms & Conditions: Vehicle Voucher Prize

 

The following terms and conditions apply if the Grand Prize Winner of the Hubbard Youth Coalition College, Car or Cash Raffle elects to receive the $25,000 Vehicle Voucher redeemable at Greenwood’s Hubbard Chevrolet.

 

A. Voucher Value

 

The Vehicle Voucher has a maximum redemption value of $25,000 and may be applied toward the purchase of an eligible new or pre-owned vehicle from Greenwood’s Hubbard Chevrolet, subject to these terms and conditions.

 

The Vehicle Voucher has no cash value and may not be exchanged for cash.

 

If the final eligible purchase price of the selected vehicle is less than the vehicle voucher, the winner will not receive a refund, cash payment, store credit, future credit, or other compensation for the unused portion of the Voucher.

 

If the final eligible purchase price exceeds the vehicle voucher, the winner is solely responsible for paying or financing the difference.

 

B. New Vehicles

 

Eligible new vehicles may be selected from available dealer inventory at Greenwood’s Hubbard Chevrolet.

 

A winner may request a custom-ordered new vehicle; however, custom orders are subject to manufacturer production availability, allocation, production schedules, model availability, and delivery timing and cannot be guaranteed.

 

Greenwood’s Hubbard Chevrolet will make reasonable efforts to accommodate a requested custom order but does not guarantee that a particular model, trim, color, option package, configuration, or delivery date will be available.

 

The winner should contact Greenwood’s Hubbard Chevrolet for questions regarding Chevrolet products, inventory, ordering, availability, or vehicle specifications.

 

C. Excluded New Vehicles

 

Unless otherwise approved in writing by Greenwood’s Hubbard Chevrolet, the Vehicle Voucher may not be applied toward the purchase of the following vehicles:

• 2026 or 2027 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 or ZR1X

• 2026 or 2027 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

• 2026 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray

• 2027 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport or Grand Sport X

 

D. Pre-Owned Vehicles

 

The Vehicle Voucher may also be applied toward the purchase of an eligible pre-owned vehicle available for sale through Greenwood’s Hubbard Chevrolet.

 

All pre-owned vehicles are subject to availability and the dealership’s standard sales terms and conditions.

 

E. Winner Only – Non-Transferable

 

The Vehicle Voucher is non-transferable and may be redeemed only by the verified Grand Prize Winner who elected the Vehicle Voucher as his or her prize.

 

The vehicle purchased using the Voucher must initially be titled in the name of the Grand Prize Winner, subject to any requirements imposed by a financing institution, applicable law, or other requirements approved by Greenwood’s Hubbard Chevrolet.

 

The Voucher may not be sold, assigned, transferred, gifted, or otherwise conveyed to another person or entity.

 

F. Taxes, Title, Registration & Fees

 

The Vehicle Voucher applies only toward the eligible vehicle purchase price as established under the Official Raffle Rules and dealership purchase agreement.

 

Unless expressly stated otherwise in the Official Raffle Rules, the winner is responsible for all applicable:

• Sales and use taxes

• Title fees

• Registration and license fees

• Documentation or administrative fees

• Insurance costs

• Financing charges

• Optional products, warranties, accessories, or services

• Federal, state, and local income taxes associated with winning the prize

• Any other taxes, governmental charges, or expenses associated with accepting, purchasing, registering, titling, or operating the vehicle

 

These amounts are not included within or paid by the Vehicle Voucher unless expressly stated otherwise in writing.

 

G. Raffle Prize Tax Reporting & Withholding

 

The winner acknowledges that winning the Vehicle Voucher may constitute taxable gambling or raffle income.

 

Hubbard Youth Coalition will comply with all applicable federal, state, and local tax reporting and withholding requirements.

 

Before the Vehicle Voucher is issued, redeemed, or applied toward a vehicle purchase, the winner may be required to provide a valid Social Security number or taxpayer identification number, identification, completed tax forms, and payment to HYC of any required federal, state, or local tax withholding.

 

HYC may withhold or delay delivery or redemption of the prize until all legally required tax documentation and withholding obligations have been satisfied.

 

The winner is encouraged to consult his or her own tax advisor regarding the tax consequences of accepting the Vehicle Voucher.

 

H. Financing

 

If the selected vehicle costs more than the Voucher amount, the winner may pay the difference directly or seek financing.

 

Financing is not guaranteed. Any financing is subject to lender approval, creditworthiness, lender requirements, interest rates, down-payment requirements, and other applicable financing terms.

 

Neither HYC nor Greenwood’s Hubbard Chevrolet guarantees that the winner will qualify for financing.

 

I. Vehicle Availability

 

All vehicles are subject to availability.

 

Neither HYC nor Greenwood’s Hubbard Chevrolet guarantees the availability of any particular vehicle, model year, model, trim level, color, equipment package, configuration, or option.

 

The Voucher does not reserve a particular vehicle unless a separate written purchase agreement is executed with the dealership.

 

J. Redemption Deadline

 

The Vehicle Voucher must be redeemed within 30 days following notification and verification of the Grand Prize Winner, unless an extension is approved in writing by HYC and Greenwood’s Hubbard Chevrolet.

 

Failure to redeem the Voucher within the applicable redemption period may result in forfeiture of the prize, subject to the Official Raffle Rules and applicable law.

 

K. Dealership Sales Documentation

 

Redemption of the Voucher is subject to completion of Greenwood’s Hubbard Chevrolet’s normal vehicle purchase, title, registration, financing, and other applicable dealership documentation.

 

The final vehicle transaction will be documented through the dealership’s standard purchase agreement and related documents.

 

L. Relationship to Official Raffle Rules

 

These Vehicle Voucher Terms & Conditions supplement the Official Rules of the Hubbard Youth Coalition College, Car or Cash Raffle.

 

In the event of a conflict between these terms and the Official Raffle Rules, the Official Raffle Rules will control, except for dealership-specific vehicle purchasing requirements that are expressly incorporated into the Official Raffle Rules.

 

M. Acceptance of Terms

 

By selecting the $25,000 Vehicle Voucher as the Grand Prize, the winner acknowledges and agrees to these terms and conditions and any applicable provisions contained in the Official Raffle Rules.

Official Redemption Terms & Conditions: Cash Prize

 

These terms and conditions apply if the verified Grand Prize Winner of the Hubbard Youth Coalition (HYC) Cash, Car or College Raffle elects the $20,000 Cash Prize instead of the $25,000 Vehicle Voucher or $25,000 College Scholarship Prize.

 

A. Cash Prize Value

 

The Cash Prize has a gross value of $20,000, subject to all applicable federal, state, and local tax reporting and withholding requirements.

 

The $20,000 amount represents the gross prize amount before any legally required tax withholding.

 

B. Winner Verification

 

Before payment of the Cash Prize, the winner must complete HYC’s winner verification process.

​

The winner may be required to provide:

• Valid government-issued photo identification;

• Social Security number or taxpayer identification number;

• Completed Form W-9 or other required tax documentation;

• The original winning ticket or other documentation required by the Official Raffle Rules;

• Signed winner affidavit and prize acceptance documentation; and

• Any other information reasonably necessary for HYC to comply with federal, state, or local law.

 

HYC will not release the Cash Prize until the winner’s eligibility and identity have been verified.

 

C. Payment of Cash Prize

 

The Cash Prize will be paid by Hubbard Youth Coalition by check or other traceable payment method determined by HYC after:

1. The winner has been verified;

2. The winner has formally selected the Cash Prize;

3. All required prize-acceptance documents have been completed;

4. HYC has obtained all information necessary for tax reporting; and

5. All legally required tax withholding has been calculated and withheld.

 

HYC will not make the Cash Prize payment in physical currency.

 

D. Federal Tax Withholding

 

Raffle winnings are subject to applicable federal gambling-winnings reporting and withholding requirements.

​

The winner acknowledges that the advertised $20,000 Cash Prize is the gross prize amount and not necessarily the amount the winner will receive after required tax withholding.

​

HYC will withhold from the Cash Prize any federal income tax required by law and will remit that withholding to the appropriate taxing authority.

 

The winner will receive the remaining net proceeds after legally required withholding.

 

E. State and Local Taxes

 

The winner is solely responsible for all federal, Ohio, and applicable local income-tax obligations resulting from winning the Cash Prize.

​

HYC will comply with any applicable Ohio or local reporting and withholding requirements.

​

Any required state or local withholding may also be deducted from the $20,000 gross Cash Prize before payment to the winner.

​

The winner remains responsible for any additional taxes ultimately determined to be due even if those amounts exceed the taxes withheld by HYC.

 

F. Tax Reporting

 

HYC will issue the winner and applicable governmental agencies any tax-reporting forms required by law, including Form W-2G when applicable.

​

The winner must provide HYC with all information reasonably necessary to complete required tax reporting.

​

Failure or refusal to provide required tax information may delay payment, may result in additional withholding as required by law, and may result in forfeiture of the prize according to the prize claim deadlines.

 

G. No Tax Gross-Up

 

HYC will not increase or “gross up” the $20,000 Cash Prize to compensate the winner for federal, state, or local taxes.

​

The maximum gross Cash Prize payable by HYC is $20,000.

​

Taxes withheld from the prize are considered part of the $20,000 prize and are remitted to the appropriate taxing authorities on behalf of the winner.

 

H. Non-Transferability

 

The Cash Prize is payable only to the verified Grand Prize Winner.

​

The right to receive the Cash Prize may not be sold, transferred, assigned, pledged, or gifted to another individual or entity before payment by HYC.

​

After HYC has properly paid the Cash Prize and satisfied its reporting and withholding obligations, the winner is responsible for any subsequent use or disposition of the proceeds.

 

I. Redemption Deadline

 

The winner must claim the Grand Prize and complete all required documentation within 30 days following official notification of winning, unless HYC provides a written extension.

​

If the winner cannot be located, fails to respond, fails to establish eligibility, refuses to provide required documentation, or otherwise fails to claim the prize within the required period, the prize may be considered forfeited in accordance with the Official Raffle Rules and applicable law.

 

The Official Raffle Rules should establish the procedure for selecting an alternate winner if the original winner forfeits or is determined to be ineligible.

 

J. Independent Tax Advice

 

HYC does not provide tax, financial, accounting, or legal advice to the winner.

​

The winner is encouraged to consult an independent tax professional regarding the federal, state, and local tax consequences of receiving the $20,000 Cash Prize.

 

K. Relationship to Official Raffle Rules

 

These Cash Prize Terms & Conditions supplement the Official Rules of the Hubbard Youth Coalition College, Car or Cash Raffle.

If these Cash Prize Terms & Conditions conflict with the Official Raffle Rules, the Official Raffle Rules will control unless applicable law requires otherwise.

 

L. Acceptance of Prize

 

By selecting and accepting the $20,000 Cash Prize, the winner acknowledges that:

• The advertised $20,000 amount is the gross prize value;

• Applicable taxes and required withholding may be deducted before payment;

• The winner will receive the net amount remaining after required withholding;

• The prize may constitute taxable gambling income;

• HYC will provide required tax-reporting documentation; and

• The winner accepts responsibility for all tax consequences associated with the prize.
